Established in 1887

 

Miller Roadwas established in 1887 and became Miller Compressing Company  in 1903.  We are a scrap processor located in the Menomonee Valley in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  We process & sell over 1,000,000 tons of ferrous scrap and over 250,000,000 pounds of nonferrous scrap annually, which generates about $350,000,000 in revenue.

As a scrap processor, we recycle all types of metallic material that is discarded.

Receiving:

  • Industrial Scrap from more than 600 businesses in Southeast Wisconsin and Northern Illinois
  • End-of-life automobiles and trucks from auto salvage yards, auto dealers and public auctions
  • Post consumer goods from the general public; everything from washers to dryers, water heaters, aluminum siding and aluminum cans
  • Demolition; metals from buildings and structures torn down
  • We also conduct destructive recycling for many industries like Harley Davidson, Snap-on Tools, etc. to prevent black market sales of new or obsolete products
  • We conduct evidence destruction for city, county, state and federal agencies throughout Southeast Wisconsin

Shipping

  • We ship ferrous scrap to steel mills and foundries throughout the Midwest
  • We ship nonferrous scrap to melting operations throughout North America & the Far East 
  • We turn our inventory about 26 times per year
  • We recycle more volume in 1 DAY than all the Wisconsin households recycle in 1 YEAR
