At Miller Compressing Company we annually process & sell in excess of:

• 1,000,000 (million) tons of ferrous scrap, and
• 250,000,000 (million) pounds of nonferrous scrap, which generates about $350,000,000 (million) in revenue.

The best way to describe our business is to say that we recycle any type of metallic material that is discarded; from your old water heater to the demolition scrap from the old County Stadium.

We Receive Metals from Several Sources:

• Industrial Scrap from more than 600 businesses in SE Wisconsin and N Illinois
• End-of-life automobiles and trucks from auto junkyards, auto dealers and public auctions
• End-of-life consumer goods
• Everything from washers and dryers to refrigerators, microwaves, aluminum siding and of course, aluminum cans, etc.
• Demolition - metals from any building or structure that is torn down

In addition,

• We ship ferrous scrap to steel mills and foundries throughout the Midwest
• We Ship nonferrous scrap to melting operations throughout North America & the Far East (150 containers/month to China)
• Demand is relatively constant & we turn our inventory about 26 times per year
• We recycle more volume in 1 DAY than all the Wisconsin households recycle in 1 YEAR
• We also conduct destructive recycling for many industries like Harley Davidson, Snap-on Tools, etc., to prevent black market of new or obsolete products.
• We conduct evidence destruction for city, county, state and federal agencies throughout SE Wisconsin.

In 2006, Miller Compressing Company achieved certification of compliance with ISO Standard 9001:2000 for quality, 14001:2004 for environmental compliance and OHSAS 18001:2002 for safety. Very few companies in the United States have achieved all three certifications. These certifications confirm that we have a continuously improving management system, with the controls in place to offer a quality product in an environmentally sound and safe work environment.
